Sponsor Past Litigation Experience (Part 3)

In this post, we’ll introduce our expert team.

I often get asked about how I assemble alternative investments and build resilient portfolios.

Being too comfortable with one type of investment can lead to out-of-balance allocations in your portfolio and overexposure to market cycles.

Maintaining a healthy portfolio with true diversification in non-correlated investments requires a deliberate approach to educating yourself on different alternative investments.

However, you can’t be an expert in everything. The key lies in partnerships. It’s crucial to keep learning and building alliances with other experts to leverage their experience and successes to achieve true diversification and non-correlation.

My Journey into Litigation Funding

First Attempt: Several years ago, my friend Dennis Shapiro, author of “The Alternative Investing Almanac,” and I explored various assets, including litigation funding. However, our initial attempt to launch a litigation investment fell through.

Second Attempt: Years later, I met David Gussmann when he founded Lucem Holdings. We discussed various investment offerings, including real estate, multifamily, litigation funding, medical receivables, life settlements, and more. At Obra, we explored creating a litigation finance product, but they required $20-50 million buy-ins.

Third Time’s a Charm: It wasn’t until David hung up his hat in institutional private equity that called me and proposed that the two of us partner to offer Litigation funding to accredited investors like you. Thanks to our extensive experience and relationships, we can now present this alternative investment to accredited investors.

The Importance of Team

Understanding the team behind your investments is essential, especially in the world of alternative investments. These investments, including litigation funding, are typically reserved for large private equity firms, sovereign funds, and hedge funds.

Our team’s expertise ensures we navigate the complexities of litigation investments, providing you with a lower-risk, non-correlated option.
