Patrick Grimes

Patrick’s portfolio is diversified across energy, litigation finance, medical receivables, commercial lending, and acquisitions, including retail, industrial, and thousands of apartment units. He has developed a range of diversified passive investments focused on growth and cash flow. He speaks on stages nationally, co-authored Amazon #1 best-sellers 'Lesson From Thought Leaders,' and 'Pivotal Leadership,' also an e-book Barnes & Noble #1 Best-Seller, and is a member of the Forbes Business Council, contributing articles on investing and commercial real estate.

For investors who want recession-aware, low-correlation alternatives to traditional markets, Patrick offers four core strategies: (1) PIM’s Diversified Litigation Finance Portfolio, built to provide investors with non-correlated growth by funding a diversified pool of lawsuits through contingency-fee law firms; (2) PIM’s Medical Receivables Portfolio, for investors seeking non-correlated cash flow and growth through financing medical practices’ accounts receivable—billed claims for services already rendered. Patrick also offers two commercial real estate funds, both capitalizing on the downturn in commercial real estate: (3) an Acquisitions Fund, targeting growth through opportunistic property acquisitions, and (4) an Income Fund, targeting stable cash flow through a diversified portfolio of commercial real estate loans.

Patrick holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and both an MBA and MS in Engineering from San Jose State University. An avid adventurer, he resides in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Drew Kniffin

Partner, Nighthawk Equity

Drew Kniffin has a corporate finance and real estate investing career that spans two decades.  After finishing graduate school (JD/MBA), Drew was an investment banker providing valuation analysis and preparing small companies for refinance or sale events.  From there Andrew worked at a Fortune 500 company, where he negotiated and implemented Joint Ventures in Asia, Central America, and South America. Drew began his real estate career in 2008, focusing on acquiring cash-flowing properties that maintain value throughout the economic cycle.  

Drew is currently a Partner at Nighthawk Equity.  In that role, Drew oversees all aspects of investments such as deal prospecting, due diligence, money raising, investor communications and strategic oversight of the investments from beginning to end.  Nighthawk currently oversees $75 million of investor capital, and controls in excess of $280 million in assets.   

In addition to being an investor, Drew has been featured on multiple podcasts and also mentors aspiring multifamily real estate investors.  Drew lives in Seattle, WA with his wife and four tax credits. 

Brian Briscoe

Founder, Streamline Capital Group

Brian is the founder of Streamline Capital Group, which invests in excellent apartment communities in the Salt Lake City metro area. He has owned over 1500 multifamily units worth over $120 million with various partnerships throughout the United States. Brian has served as the lead sponsor, asset manager, capital raiser, and key principal on these properties. He founded Streamline Capital Group to provide long-term growth and cash flow for its investors.

Brian is also a multifamily coach and mentor, serving as the director of the multifamily educational community “The Tribe of Titans” and hosting the “Diary of an Apartment Investor” podcast.

He holds two degrees in Mathematics from the University of Utah, a Master’s in International Relations from the Naval Postgraduate School, and retired as a lieutenant colonel from the US Marines after 20 years of service.
